ROCHE MAY BE SCOOPED UP BY LOWE GROUP

Roche Macaulay & Partners of Toronto could be bought by the U.S.-based Lowe Group, according to a story in The Globe and Mail. Lowe wants to buy the agency and merge it with its Lowe/SMS Toronto office. When contacted by Adnews, Roche senior vice-president Andrew Macaulay said the agency will be making an announcement on Monday. Roche's client list includes the IKEA furniture chain, Pharma Plus drug stores and Petro-Canada. Lowe's client list includes Sony Canada, Citibank, Time Warner and Coca-Cola's Diet Coke.
