Coke Canada Bottling begins holiday promotions

Coca-Cola Canada Bottling has begun a pair of holiday season promotions called the “Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan” and the “Canada's Kindest Community Contest.” The caravan promotion makes use of a branded truck decorated with holiday lights and carrying promotional workers dressed as Santa Claus and a number of elves. It will visit various sites nationally to offer what the company describes as “kindness-led experiences.” The tour will begin in Halifax on Nov. 14 and end in Vancouver on Dec. 22.
During the contest, which is being conducted in association with Community Foundations of Canada, consumers can submit acts of kindness that took place in their communities. The community with the most submissions per capita will be declared “Canada's Kindest Community” and will receive a $50,000 donation to a local non-profit organization.
“The Holiday Caravan was born from an opportunity to spread optimism and share joy in communities coast-to-coast,” said Todd Parsons, CEO of Coca-Cola Canada Bottling. “By uniting the ‘Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan’ and ‘Canada's Kindest Community Contest,’ we connect the joy of the holiday season with making a meaningful difference in the communities where we operate.”
