New president, creative director at Publicis Toronto

Publicis Toronto has appointed Bryan Kane to the position of president. He will also remain managing partner of digital agency Publicis Modem, a position he has held since 2008. Prior to that, Kane was brand director and director of agency development at Publicis Canada, as well as an account supervisor and account executive at Publicis Toronto.

"As president, Bryan brings an outstanding knowledge of emerging media and the ever-evolving digital landscape, well-balanced with years of more traditional advertising experience," said Duncan Bruce, president and chief creative officer of Publicis Canada. "Bryan has been part of the very foundation of Publicis Toronto's success and I'm thrilled we'll be working so closely together to continue to grow our clients' businesses, and in turn, that of our agency."

Tim Kavander has been promoted to the position of executive vice-president and creative director of Publicis Toronto. He was most recently a group creative director at the agency. Prior to that, he was senior vice-president and creative director at Arnold Worldwide Toronto, group creative director at Leo Burnett Toronto, senior writer at Roche Macaulay & Partners and associate creative director at Young & Rubicam.
