Loopmedia, Digital Journal launch online video service

Toronto-based Loopmedia has begun a joint program with Digital Journal to provide "near real-time" video for use on social media channels. Loopmedia is offering this service in association with Digital Journal's Newsrooms division. It specializes in the production of branded video content filmed at live events, then edited and posted online as rapidly as possible. The first client to make use of the service was Sony Canada, which released a series of videos during World MasterCard Fashion Week in late March. "We're excited to be working with the Newsrooms team to add video to their lineup of creative assets for branded content," said Sonja Perovic, president of Loopmedia. “Doing custom branded video in near real-time presents several technical challenges. Traditionally video gets shot, edited and published well after an event has transpired. We've solved that and are now able to turn it around immediately."
