Loopmedia launches content marketing division

Toronto-based design, video and animation company Loopmedia has launched a new division that will specialize in content marketing. As part of this expansion, the firm has added two new partners.

Jason Theodor has joined Loopmedia as vice-president and executive director of strategy and creative. He has previously worked as a creative director at Publicis, Blast Radius, Grey Canada, Critical Mass and Ogilvy Interactive.

William Morassutti has been appointed vice-president and executive director of content and editorial. He was most recently the founder and chief content officer of a firm called W Content Agency. Prior to that, he was content editorial director at Venture Communications and editor-in-chief of YouInc. He has also worked at Star Content Studios, Random House of Canada, Black Angus Media and Toro Publishing.

"We're building our content production capabilities across the board," said Sonja Perovic, president of Loopmedia. "It's become clear to many in our industry that the interrupt-and-repeat approach of traditional advertising is no longer effective in a digital, streaming, always-on world that delivers high quality content with no interruptions at all. We plan to be the go-to content providers for brands and agency partners alike."
