Canadian Cancer Society begins 75th anniversary promotion

The Canadian Cancer Society has begun a new online promotion tied to its 75 anniversary. The initiative, developed by Twist Image of Toronto, is focused on a new website at <http://75years.cancer.ca>. The site depicts the ways in which the organization has impacted the lives of Canadian cancer patients during its existence. It makes use of an interactive display of archive materials, personal stories and historical data. "The goal of the site is to spread the word about the tremendous reach and impact that CCS has had on the lives of Canadians affected by cancer for the past 75 years," said Matt Sepkowski, director of marketing for the Canadian Cancer Society. "Few know the breadth of ways we have helped to make a difference over the years. Each story in this dynamic and digital infographic encourages users to share with their networks and show their support by making a donation. We could not have created a digital story this compelling without the amazing work from our friends at Twist Image. They leveraged very modern design thinking and weaved it into something more than we could have ever imagined." The organization has also redesigned its main website at Cancer.ca to better provide information about the society and its services.
