Quebec-based financial services firm Desjardins has launched a new website at Espaceauto.com. The site, which is being operated in association with CUDL Canada Services, allows users to obtain online loan preauthorization for a vehicle purchase, shop for a new or used vehicle, and obtain quotes from insurance companies. It also offers a number of tools such as payment calculators and appraisal values for trade-in vehicles. "We're proud to be launching Espaceauto.com and the online loan preauthorization to help members establish a realistic budget and plan the purchase of their next vehicle," said André Chatelain, vice-president and general manager at Desjardins Card Services. "The various site functions make the buying process simple and attractive."

Music and entertainment retail chain HMV Canada has launched a new digital music service called The Vault. The subscription-based service, located at <http://www.inmyvault.com>, offers streaming and downloadable versions of approximately 13 million songs. The service also includes an application for users of mobile devices. "While we continue to see strong demand for CDs, we are also seeing an increased demand for accessing music in the digital environment, making the launch of The Vault especially timely," said Nick Williams, president and CEO of HMV Canada. "We know that the more than 35 million consumers who come through our stores each year count on us to enhance their music experience and The Vault is a clear indicator of our ability to do that. This combined retail and online offering will enable us to better connect with our customers and drive our business forward in 2013."

Blue Ant Media of Toronto has launched a digital magazine companion for its Travel&Escape specialty television channel. The tablet- and smartphone-optimized publication makes use of panoramic photography, video and written content. The first issue features stories on adventure travel in Norway, Chile, California, British Columbia and the stratosphere. "The Travel&Escape Magazine is a creative step for this brand which already has a strong online following," said Simon Foster, senior vice-president of digital publishing and business development at Blue Ant Media. "The launch issue features stunning images and in-depth editorial, presented in a fun and inventive way. Our goal is to delight our readers as they discover some of the most exhilarating destinations."
