CTV signs Amazing Race sponsors

CTV has signed a series of sponsorship agreements for the upcoming season of its reality television program The Amazing Race Canada. Chevrolet has signed-on as a sponsor for an eighth year. Additional returning sponsors include Expedia, along with new sponsors the Desjardins Group, Subway Canada, Destination BC, Guru Organic Energy, Marshalls, Tourism Richmond and the Trans Canada Trail. These sponsorships will consist primarily of in-show brand exposure, as well as social media exposure.

The show’s grand prize will include two Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 pickup trucks, as well as a trip for two around the world from Guru and $250,000 in cash. In addition, participants in the show’s weekly social media quiz will receive entries into a draw for a Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle. Many of the other sponsors will also conduct contests aimed a viewers. CTV is a subsidiary of Bell Media.

“It’s wonderful to again be able to provide premium partnership opportunities as part of the highly anticipated return of The Amazing Race Canada to returning and new partners,” said Perry MacDonald, vice-president of advertising sales and partnerships at Bell Media. “With the largest grand prize from a Canadian reality series, we look forward to debuting each brands’ in-show integrations and activations. With plenty of contesting also available, Season Eight is primed to give viewers at home a chance to get in on the action and win big, just like the racers.”
