Kraft Foods begins Protector of the Caramilk Secret contest
By Adnews Staff
Kraft Foods has begun a contest promotion for its Caramilk chocolate bar called "Protector of the Caramilk Secret." Ten keys have been placed in specially-marked Caramilk bars. The ten consumers who find the keys will win a trip to the Cadbury chocolate factory in Toronto. One key will unlock a vault containing a sealed package. Inside the package will be the secret of how the company gets the caramel inside the chocolate bar. The consumer whose key opens the vault will win $125,000 and be given guardianship of the secret for six months. If the consumer returns the package unopened at the end of that time, he or she will win an additional $125,000. "There's always been a great mystery around Caramilk and we want to put Canadians' secret-keeping abilities to the test and find the ultimate Protector of the Caramilk Secret, and who would be better than someone who truly loves Caramilk?" said Mackenzie Davison, director of every day chocolate at Cadbury. "We know it can be daunting but we have faith in our Caramilk lovers to overcome the temptation." The contest is being supported online at <http://www.caramilk.ca>, as well as on Facebook and Twitter. Public relations for the initiative are being conducted by Strategic Objectives.
