Kraft installs Jell-O vending machine in Toronto

Kraft Foods has installed a promotional vending machine in downtown Toronto in support of its Jell-O Refrigerated Pudding line of products. The machine will dispense samples of the product to consumers who first make a face for a camera representing their reaction to the pudding. The image will then be displayed for 15 seconds on a digital billboard at Yonge-Dundas Square. The photographs will also be posted to the brand's Facebook page. The initiative also includes a Facebook application that consumers can use to submit their facial expressions in exchange for a coupon. "When we thought about capturing the fun and uniqueness of Jell-O we just had to look to the faces of Canadians and their lively reactions to eating it," said Amy Rozinsky, senior brand manager at Kraft Canada. "Whether it's a Jell-O Mousse, creamy pudding, or classic Jell-O gelatin, it always puts a great expression on their face. It's what we now call a Jell-Oh Face and the inspiration behind the vending machine."
