Kraft Dinner begins Send Noods promotion
By Adnews Staff
Kraft Heinz Canada has begun a promotion for its Kraft Dinner macaroni and cheese brand called “Send Noods.” Developed by No Fixed Address, the promotion makes use of a website at <http://www.enjoynoods.com>. Beginning Oct. 6, visitors to the site can request that a free box of Kraft Dinner be sent to a potential romantic interest. The campaign will also include social media support on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, as well as ads on dating mobile application Tinder. Media work for the promotion is being conducted by Starcom, with public relations by The Colony Project.
“Pandemic dating rituals are a hot topic,” said Brian Neumann, a senior brand manager at Kraft Foods. “We wanted to tap into this conversation in a tongue-in-cheek way, and our cheesy noods are the perfect innuendo. While the dating scene can be tricky when we’re staying six feet apart, ‘Send Noods’ is designed to help Canadians break the ice. After all, the only thing that rivals the cheesiness of KD is a bad pick-up line.”
