Rona conducts Pinterest campaign

Home improvement chain Rona recently conducted an online campaign on social media website Pinterest. The promotion maked use of a funtion of the site called a Pinterest Predicts Trend Badge to highlight decor products in a style dubbed Western Gothic. Consumer searches for this phrase returned a number of Rona products from the chain’s spring line. This initiative was part of a larger campaign running on Pinterest that will continue until May 29. Media work for the campaign is being handled by Starcom Canada.

“We know that Pinterest is where our audience goes to find inspiration so it made perfect sense to align our spring campaign with one the Pinterest Predicts Trends,” said Louis-Philippe Charland, paid media marketing strategy manager at Rona. “We are excited to be a first-to-market in the home category to leverage a bilingual Pinterest Predicts Trend Badge to help people find inspiration for their spring projects.”
