TJX hires Starcom Canada

TJX Companies has retained Starcom Canada of Toronto as its media agency of record in Canada. The assignment includes media strategy for the company's Winners, HomeSense and Marshalls retail chains. TJX operates 226 Winners, 89 HomeSense and 22 Marshalls stores in Canada. Starcom is a division of Publicis.

"Winners, HomeSense and Marshalls are innovators in the retail sector just as Starcom is in the media sector," said Leslie Root, marketing vice-president at TJX Canada. "Starcom impressed us with their nimble retail orientation combined with their access to big agency resources. We look forward to working with them at such a dynamic time in our respective industries."
