WestJet, Petro-Canada to link loyalty programs
By Derek Winkler
Airline WestJet and gas station chain Petro-Canada have signed a loyalty program agreement. Beginning in early 2027, consumers who link their WestJet Rewards account with their Petro-Points account will receive additional loyalty points and exclusive special offers. Consumers will receive the loyalty points of their choice for fuel, car wash and convenience store purchases, as well as 20% more Petro-Points on purchases at Petro-Canada. WestJet points will be redeemable at Petro-Canada locations. Points can also be converted between programs. Petro-Canada is a subsidiary at Suncor Energy.
“Together, WestJet Rewards and Petro-Points are building a loyalty eco-system that bridges travel and everyday mobility,” said John Weatherill, chief commercial officer at WestJet Group. “Through this partnership, WestJet Rewards is delivering greater value to Canadians by helping them fuel their next getaway. This reflects our commitment to flexibility and offering rewards that matter to our members, wherever their journey leads.”
