TWO QUEBEC AGENCIES FORM ALLIANCE
By Adnews Staff
PNMD/Publitel of Montreal has bought 40% of Quebec City agency Lacroix Publicité which has been renamed Lacroix-PNMD/Publitel. Lacroix founders Marc and Richard Lacroix retain 60% of the agency. The move gives PNMD an entry into the pharmaceutical market. Lacroix's client list includes Glaxo-Wellcome, DuPont Pharma, Eli-Lilly, Pharmascience and Abbott Laboratories. The alliance with PNMD will allow Lacroix to handle national and international accounts because of PNMD's membership in the BBDO worldwide network. It will also allow Lacroix to offer clients more services. PNMD accounts include Labatt Breweries of Canada, Petro-Canada, Pharmaprix and the Quebec Chrysler and Jeep/Eagle Dealers Association. As well, it handles media placement in Quebec for Toronto-based BBDO Canada.
