New president and CEO at Destination Canada

The Government of Canada has appointed Marsha Walden to the position of president and chief executive officer of tourism organization Destination Canada. She will begin work on Aug. 24. The organization is a division of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. Walden was most recently president and CEO of Destination British Columbia. Prior to that, she was at the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and BBDO Canada. Destination Canada works to market Canada as a four-season tourism destination in collaboration with other participants in the Canadian tourism sector.
