DoorDash readies Spring Staycation promotion

Food delivery service DoorDash Canada is preparing a promotion called “Spring Staycation.” According to the company, the effort is intended to “reframe delivery as the centrepiece of a modern staycation” for consumers who enjoy staying home. From March 16 to 29, the company will rebrand a room at The Drake Hotel in Toronto and at the Hotel Arts in Calgary. Consumers will be able to book a free one-night stay in the rooms via online service Eventbrite beginning March 2 on a first-come basis. Consumers will receive a $300 DoorDash gift card to order food during their stay. The promotion also includes a national component by which users of the company’s mobile application will get a 30% discount from participating restaurants.
