Sponsorship roundup

Auto brand Dodge has renewed it sponsorship of the NASCAR Canadian Tire auto racing series for a sixth year. As part of its agreement with NASCAR Canada, Dodge and Mopar will sponsor the Dodge-Mopar Awards, consisting of cash prizes to eligible teams following each race in the series. Dodge and Mopar will also be the presenting sponsors of the Mopar Top Dodge Cup trophy. The sponsorship also include trackside branding at the 12 events in the series, as well as a contest component that will give away a 2013 Dodge Dart. In addition, a branded Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 will serve as the pace car at series events. Dodge and Mopar are divisions of Chrysler Group. NASCAR Canada is a joint operation of NASCAR and TSN Events which manages the NASCAR brand in Canada. "Dodge and Mopar are a major force behind one of the fastest-growing spectator sports in Canada, which is NASCAR stock car racing," said Ed Broadbear, vice-president of marketing at Chrysler Canada. "The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series sponsorship helps us connect with motorsports fans across the country, who are just as passionate about their rides off the track as they are about watching the racing teams on the track. It's a perfect fit."
