TSN extends agreement with NASCAR

Toronto-based specialty channel TSN has extended its partnership agreement with NASCAR Canada to 2015. NASCAR Canada is a joint venture between TSN and NASCAR which oversees the car racing series’ business and marketing initiatives in this country, including sponsorship, licensing, communications and media sales. NASCAR Canada will also act as the sales and marketing agent for the recently-established NASCAR Canadian Tire Series of races. In a separate agreement, TSN has received extended broadcast rights to the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, including the Daytona 500, until 2010. “NASCAR Canada has developed proven marketing and communication solutions for Canadian companies,” said Randy Paul, managing director of NASCAR Canada. “These assets consist of sponsorship and licensing platforms as well as access to real racing assets at both the grassroots and national levels.” TSN is a division of CTVglobemedia.
