By Derek Winkler
Canucks Sports & Entertainment of Vancouver has begun a new brand campaign called “Van as One” to promote the Vancouver Canucks hockey team. The initiative consists of advertising in the Vancouver area, inside and outside Rogers Arena, and during Canucks game broadcasts on Sportsnet. It will also feature as part of the team’s first “Fan Fest” event, which will take place from Sept. 24 to 26. The event will include player appearances, an alumni charity hockey game and community activities.
In related news, RBC has signed-on as a sponsor of the Canucks. The sponsorship includes a rebranding of the North Plaza area outside the arena as RBC Landing. The space will host a variety of fan engagement activies. The agreement also includes RBC logos on player jerseys, branded areas inside the arena, dedicated entrances for RBC customers at Rogers Arena and Rogers Forum, and special offers through the Avion Rewards loyalty program.
