Restaurant chain Ricky’s All Day Grill has signed-on as a sponsor of the Western Hockey League. As part of its sponsorship, the chain will host an in-arena pancake flipping competition in several markets. Participating restaurants will also offer discounts to consumers displaying a hockey game ticket or wearing team merchandise.
“Many of our restaurant operators, staff and also our guests are avid hockey fans, so we are proud to have the opportunity to get involved in the games and activities that the WHL has planned,” said Raymond Ho, vice-president of marketing and communications for parent company FDF Brandz.
Fanbase, a company specializing in digital services for sports ticketing and fan engagement, has also signed-on as a sponsor of the league.
“The 23 member clubs of the WHL are continually looking for innovative ways to improve upon the fan experience and we’re looking forward to exploring new opportunities with Fanbase,” said WHL commissioner Dan Near.
