Steam Whistle debuts promotional vehicle

Toronto-based beer company Steam Whistle Brewing has undertaken a promotion featuring an electrified 1970 International Harvester Scout 800A four-by-four vehicle. The electric conversion and restoration was performed by Beachman Motor Company of Toronto. The branded vehicle will be appear at future events. The companies have also released an online video highlighting the five-month project to rebuild the vehicle.
“Scout has always turned heads and sparked conversation, so restoring and electrifying it with Beachman felt like the perfect fit,” said Greg Taylor, CEO of Steam Whistle. “We wanted to preserve what makes it special while giving it a new purpose for the future. The result is a blend of heritage and innovation that reflects Steam Whistle’s values.”
