Steam Whistle conducts Shower Caddy promotion
Toronto-based beer company Steam Whistle Brewing has begun a promotion intended to make it easier for consumers to drink beer while taking a shower. Called the Steam Whistle Shower Caddy, the silicone beer can holder is made to adhere to a smooth, flat surface. According to the company, it is designed to allow a can a beer to be placed in a location in a shower where it is unlikely to be spilled or to be spoiled by water or soap. The caddy will be sold with six-packs Steam Whistle Pilsner at LCBO outlets in Ontario for a limited time. In addition, consumers can buy Steam Whistle-branded “beer soap” in three scents from the brewery’s website.
“The innovative Steam Whistle Shower Caddy solves a real problem for beer lovers," said Tim McLaughlin, vice-president of marketing at Steam Whistle. “But please note, Steam Whistle will not accept responsibility for people suddenly feeling the need to shower more often, spend more time in the shower or convincing themselves that they are great singers. And we absolutely discourage everybody from dancing in the shower.”
