Jay Switzer, former president and CEO of Toronto-based Chum, has died at the age of 61. Switzer began his career at City TV in 1972. He would go on to participate in the launch of a number of Chum specialty television channels before becoming president and CEO in 2002. He departed this position in 2007 when CTVglobemedia acquired Chum. Switzer would later co-found specialty television company Hollywood Suite.
