IHeartRadio Canada begins contest series

Toronto-based IHeartRadio Canada has begun a series of 10 contest promotions for its radio stations nationally. The contests conducted by the company’s Virgin Radio stations, called “Destroy Your Debt,” will give away a grand prize of $100,000. Listeners must submit an hourly key word by text message or online to be entered into the draw.

CHUM 104.5 in Toronto is conducting a contest called “Beat the Bank.” also with a grand prize of $100,000. Listeners must call the station when instructed each weekday to participate.

In addition, the company has begun a contest called the Pure Country Music Challenge with a prize of $50,000. Contests will also happen at IHeartRadio stations in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and BC. In total, $600,000 in prizes will be distributed.

“IHeartRadio Canada continues to deliver entertaining and engaging content for listeners with the return of some of radio’s most iconic contests, like Beat The Bank, as well as the addition of new ones in markets across Canada,” said Rob Farina, head of IHeartRadio Canada. “We are hoping to bring some excitement and joy to listeners right now by giving them the opportunity to bring home some of these giant cash prizes.”
