Stingray signs-on with IHeartRadio

Stingray Radio has signed an agreement with IHeartRadio Canada to make its Canadian stations available through the IHeartRadio streaming audio mobile application. The agreement includes 67 stations, including Boom 97.3 Toronto, Hot 89.9 Ottawa, Q104 Halifax, Z95.3 Vancouver, K97 Edmonton and XL103 Calgary. As part of the deal, these Stingray stations will promote IHeartRadio Canada on-air. They will also continue to stream audio on their own websites and through other applications. IHeartRadio Canada is a joint venture of Bell Media and IHeartMedia. Stingray Radio is a division of media company Stingray.

“We believe that our radio stations should be available wherever listeners choose to listen,” said Steve Jones, senior vice-president of brands and content at Stingray Radio. “The IHeartRadio Canada platform has proved to be immensely popular and we are thrilled to have Stingray stations join their already exciting lineup of audio options.”
