CTV releases Corner Gas holiday song

CTV has released a holiday-themed song called “Everyone Can Sing at Christmas” to promote the upcoming broadcast of its Corner Gas Animated series. The song, co-ritten and performed by series actor Brent Butt, is being distributed on a variety of digital audio services by Universal Music and Hidden Pony Records, as well as IHeartRadio Canada. The song is also co-written by Craig Northey of the rock band Odds, who also co-wrote the original Corner Gas theme song.
An animated music video for the song will premiere on Nov. 30 before broadcast of the show’s next episode. The video features Butt performing a song-and-dance number on a Christmas-themed set, interspersed with scenes from the holidays in the show’s setting of Dog River, SK, concluding with a chorus line featuring the cast of the show. The song is also being supported with social media activities.
