Bell conducts Let's Talk Day initiative

Bell will conduct its annual "Let's Talk Day" promotion on Jan. 30. The national initiative is intended to raise awareness of mental illness and to reduce the stigma associated with it. The effort consists of a series of events nationally, supported with social media activities and a text message-based fundraising component. In addition, a one-hour television special will air on Jan. 31 on CTV and CTV Two. The campaign features a group of Canadians with mental illnesses and their supporters describing their personal experiences.

"Bell Let's Talk Day has become a social movement driven by the commitment of Canadians in every corner of the country to end the stigma around mental illness," said Mary Deacon, chair of the initiative. "I invite everyone to join in to help those who struggle with mental illness. Through their growing engagement in the cause, Canadians are really making a difference. I'm very excited to see what we achieve tomorrow."
