Labatt readies Bud Light Camp promotion

Labatt Breweries of Canada has begun an initiative in the name of its Bud Light brand called the “Bud Light Camp.” The event will take place at a camp in southern Ontario from June 10 to 12. It is aimed at adult LGBT consumers and will “celebrate coming out, embracing your most authentic self, and ensuring that everyone feels welcome to the party just as they are,” according to the company. The event will include the participation of drag performer Brooke Lynn Hytes and a number of influencers acting as camp counsellors. Consumers over the age of 19 can enter a draw to attend the event at <http://www.budlight.ca/pride>. Bud Light will conduct addition Pride-related promotion in Toronto and Vancouver, including the release of limited edition Pride-themed beer cans.

“Bud Light believes that everything is more fun when everyone brings their own unique energy,” said Mike D'Agostini, senior marketing director at Bud Light Canada. “It's our brand's mission to leave no one out and celebrate individuals being their most authentic selves. Through Bud Light Camp, we are championing LGBTQIA2S+ community members and allies to live their truth, leaving only one question: Whatever camp you're in, you in?”
