NBA signs promotional agreement with Scene

The National Basketball Association has signed a multi-year promotional agreement with loyalty program Scene making it the entertainment loyalty program of the NBA in Canada. This is the first time the sports league has had an entertainment loyalty program in this country. Consumers who participate in the Scene program will now be eligible for NBA contest promotions. In the first of these, Canadian consumers who used a Scene card before Feb. 3 could enter to win one of three trips for two to Chicago to attend the 2020 NBA All-Star Game and related events. Scene is jointly operated by Scotiabank and Cineplex. Co-branded NBA promotional activities will be conducted in collaboration with Tangerine, a subsidiary of Scotiabank.

“We’re always looking for new and exciting ways to give Scene members more value and more rewards,” said Matthew Seagrim, managing director of Scene. “With the 2019 NBA championship catapulting basketball fandom across Canada, this first-of-its-kind partnership will give Scene members access to exclusive prizes and unforgettable experiences, which is what the program is all about.”
