Heinz Ketchup begins movie-themed promotion

Kraft Heinz Canada has begun a social media campaign promoting its Heinz Ketchup. The initiative is timed to coincide with the broadcast of the 2020 Academy Awards on Feb. 9. It take the form of an Instagram page which invites consumers to submit the names of movies in which the ketchup has appeared. Participants will then become eligible to receive free ketchup. The campaign was developed by Rethink, with support from Starcom and The Colony Project.

“Award season is an occasion that gets everyone talking,” said Brian Neumann, senior condiments brand manager at Kraft Heinz Canada. “As we look to look to deliver more contextually relevant and timely content to our consumers, we wanted to find a way to join the conversation. Nothing speaks more to the iconic nature of Heinz Ketchup than our appearances in countless films. This felt like the perfect time to reward our fans for spotting us in their favorite movies.”
