Tangerine conducts Bank Shot Account promotion

Online bank Tangerine has begun a promotion in association with the Toronto Raptors basketball team called “Bank Shot Account.” During the team’s 2022-2023 regular season, the bank will donate $1,000 to a participating charitable organization for each bank shot made by a Raptors player. The first organization to receive funding through this program will the Lady Ballers Camp, a six-week basketball summer camp for youth in underserved communities in the Greater Toronto Area.

In addition, when the total amount in the Bank Shot Account reaches certain totals, exclusive contest prizes will be distributed, including Raptors merchandise and game tickets and trips to the NBA finals. Consumers can enter these draws online at <http://www.tangerine.ca/bankshot>. According to the bank, the fund contains $71,000 as of this month. Tangerine is a subsidiary of Scotiabank.

“The ‘Bank Shot Account’ is another way Tangerine is engaging with the basketball community and fans,” said Gillian Riley, president and CEO of Tangerine. “Through Tangerine Project Forward, we support grassroots organizations that are making a difference in their communities, particularly through youth in sport. We are excited to build upon our partnership with Lady Ballers Camp and help facilitate the incredible work they do to build confidence and life skills in young girls through basketball.”
