Report: Most valuable brands in the world

Brand Finance, a London-based brand valuation consulting firm, has released its annual Brand Finance Global 500 report on the world’s most valuable brands. According to the report, Amazon wass the most valuable brand in the world, despite losing US$51 billion to be valued at US$299.3 billion. Amazon took the top spot from Apple, which lost $US 57.6 billion to be valued at US$297.5 billion. The remainder of the top 10 consists of Google, Microsoft, Walmart, Samsung, ICBC, Verizon, Tesla and TikTok.

“Technology brands across the world have lost significant value in response to shifting demand patterns,” said David Haigh, CEO of Brand Finance. “As consumer habits partially revert to pre-pandemic patterns, demand for the services of tech brands has been hit particularly hard. Additionally, disrupted supply chains, labour shortages and greater obstacles to financing have left their mark.”
