OPTIMEDIA HAS A FIVE-IN-ONE PACKAGE

FCB Canada's media buying arm, Optimedia, has picked up the consolidated media buying account of five companies. They are Ault Foods ($2.7 million); Coca-Cola Canada ($11.9 million); Cosmair Canada ($17.6 million); General Mills Canada ($21.9 million); and Nestle Canada ($24.1 million). All figures are A.C. Nielsen estimates for 1994. Optimedia already had General Mills and Nestle. Ault has moved from its creative agency, Lowe SMS in Toronto, Coke from Initiative Media (the media arm of MacLaren McCann in Toronto) and Cosmair from its Montreal-based creative agency, Cossette Communication-Marketing.

In the future, the group of companies will consider cross-promotions, common advertising and other joint interests.
