BMO conducts Wrap the Good promotion

BMO Financial Group of Toronto has begun a holiday season promotion called “Wrap the Good.” The initiative is intended to support women-owned businesses in North America. During the promotion, the bank will distribute holiday wrapping paper and display an ornament that also advertising space for participating women-owned firms. The tree decoration, called “The Shoppable Ornament,” takes the form of a miniature catalogue that highlights products from participating businesses, accompanied by a QR code linking to their website's product page for purchase. The catalogue's last page links to a full Pinterest page at which consumers can browse more gift ideas from participating vendors. This is the first year the promotion has included Quebec and the United States. It was developed by FCB Canada.

“The ‘Wrap the Good’ program once again demonstrates BMO's commitment to ensuring that women-owned businesses, which are crucial to the communities we serve, are presented with every opportunity to succeed,” said Mike Bonner, head of Canadian business banking at BMO. “From drops in revenue to job loss, women and women-owned businesses were hit hard by the pandemic. This is why initiatives like ‘Wrap the Good’ are so essential. The extension of last year's campaign is yet another example of BMO's commitment to ensuring these businesses are set up to succeed and make real financial progress.”
