Tim Hortons releases holiday commercial, book

Tim Hortons has released a 60-second holiday season television commercial accompanied by a children's book called A Nest in the North. The book tells the story of a Canadian goose who must leave home, travel to a foreign land and find welcome with a different flock. It was developed in collaboration with illustrator Veronika Kotyk. The book can be purchased in print or electronic editions at <http://www.anestinthenorth.ca>. Proceeds from its sales will be donated to the UN Refugee Agency. The campaign was developed by Gut Toronto. French-language adaptation was handled by The French Shop. Media work is being handled by Horizon, with digital work by Media Monks and PR by Craft Public Relations.

“Our holiday campaign is inspired by the shared values and traditions of Canadians being kind to each other and making everyone feel welcomed and included,” said Hope Bagozzi, chief marketing officer at Tim Hortons. “These values are never more relevant than during the holidays. Kindness is a gift we all have in us to give. We're thrilled to have worked with Veronika to create this beautiful book and to be donating 100% of the proceeds from sales of the book to UNHCR.”
