Wampole Canada is launching a full line of herbal products in the spring and has hired Holmes Donin Alloul of Toronto to handle advertising for them. The ad shop came out on top recently in a review with three other unnamed agencies. "The agency demonstrated an entrepreneurial approach to our business, as well as clear, focused strategic thinking and creative that is beyond the box," marketing manager Betsy Wells says in a release. Wampole is launching over 100 new products this year. The target market consists of women aged 25 to 50, a group that accounts for 80% to 90% of drug store sales. The ad budget is over $1 million, with spending increases to match sales hikes. Toronto-based generic drug manufacturer Novopharm bought Wampole from Rhone-Poulenc Rorer last June.
