TWO-WAY PAGING SERVICE MAKES DEBUT
By Adnews Staff
The Skytel division of Mobile Telecommunication Technologies of Jackson, Missouri introduced a two-way paging system in the U.S. this week. The Skytel 2-Way service allows people to reply through their pagers to a beep or page. While other companies have plans for similar systems, MTT's is the first on the market. The new system will likely be brought to Canada, MTT national marketing representative Pete Peterson told Adnews this week, but no date has been set. Any advertising in Canada will come out of the U.S. Hewlett-Packard, MCI Communications, Microsoft Corp., Motorola and Sony Electronics develop and sell products and applications for Skytel. In Canada, distribution and marketing of Skytel products is done by Bell Mobility.
