NEW FAX MACHINES FROM CANON
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Canon Inc. is introducing three new facsimile machines to the North American market called the Faxphone B540, the 21 and the 11. The B540, which will hit the shelves next month, is a plain paper model that has one-hour battery back-up protection. This ensures that transmissions sorted in memory, and preprogrammed telephone numbers are saved in the event of power failure. It also features Canon's Bubble Jet technology for near laser quality printing. The Faxphone 21 and 11, which became available earlier this month, use thermal paper and a halftone mode with 16 shades of gray that produces photos, illustrations and graphics clearly. All three machines are for the small or home office. In Canada, print advertising focusing on Canon's entire home office line appeared earlier this month. It was created by Lackey Communications of Toronto.
