BILLI AWARD WINNERS

J. Walter Thompson in Toronto and Palmer-Jarvis Advertising of Vancouver were the biggest winners at the Billi Awards last night. JWT won two golds for work it created for The Discovery Channel - in the large format and campaign categories. P-J took a street level gold and a campaign silver for work done for the Pacific National Exhibition, and a bronze in the same category for advertising done for Sportscasters Bar & Grill. Other winning agencies and their clients were: Campbell Michener & Lee, Stanfield's; MacLaren: McCann, McNeil Consumer Products; Taxi Advertising & Design, YTV Canada; BBDO Canada, Molson Breweries; Doner Schur Peppler Advertising, The Outrider. The craft award for innovation went to David Martin and Peter Day of Lowe SMS in Toronto, for Ferrero Canada's Tic Tac transit shelter. The 3D board had a built-in coin box so people could make donations to Big Brothers and Big Sisters. The Billi Awards competition is sponsored by the Outdoor Advertising Association of Canada.
