New chief marketing officer at Rakuten Kobo

Toronto-based e-reader company Rakuten Kobo has promoted Marianne Hamilton to the position of chief marketing officer. She joined the company in 2015 as vice-president of marketing. Prior to that, she was director of marketing at Motorola Mobility Canada. Hamilton has also been a senior consultant at Hill&Knowlton and an account coordinator at Ketchum Public Relations. Outgoing CMO Alan MacNevin has been promoted to the position of chief operating officer.
