Kobo promotes colour ebook readers

Electronics company Rakuten Kobo has begun a campaign for its Kobo line of ebook readers. Developed by The Garden of Toronto, the campaign promotes the launch of new colour screen versions of the Kobo Libra and Kobo Clara devices. It includes a 30-second animated commercial called “Bring Books to Life” that features a number of novels that make use of colour-based imagery. This is being accompanied by digital advertising and social media content. The campaign is running in Canada, the US, Australia and the UK. Media work is being handled by Cairns Oneil.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing both the Kobo Clara Colour and Kobo Libra Colour to market,” said Tracy Nesdoly, vice-president of communications at Rakuten Kobo. “This marks our first foray into the world of colour and we’re excited to give our readers the opportunity to take their reading experience to a whole new level. We think this campaign is the perfect way to kick that off.”
