The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto has released a new commercial called “Opera” as part of its ongoing “Immortal” campaign. The three-minute commercial, developed by Broken Heart Love Affair. depicts the history of the world as seen by a chimpanzee. According to the museum, the ad is intended to present a view of the natural world that extends beyond human history. The commercial is showing in cinemas and online, accompanied by out-of-home advertising in the Toronto area. Media work is being handled by Cairns Oneil.
“This campaign is our love letter to the natural world, a clarion call to protect and look after our Earth and everything in it,” said Sally Tindal, chief marketing and communications officer at the museum. “Home to a world-class collection of 18 million artworks, cultural objects and natural history specimens, ROM plays a vital role in our understanding of nature and the world around us, and we hope this campaign inspires people to revisit the museum with fresh eyes.”
