Corus signs Big Brother sponsors

Corus Entertainment has signed eight sponsorship agreements for the upcoming new season of reality television show Big Brother Canada. New sponsors this year include social media service TikTok, cleaning brand Sunlight, grill company Weber and alcoholic beverage company Muskoka Spirits. Returning sponsors include the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, travel company Expedia, fast food chain Wendy’s and food delivery service SkipTheDishes.

The sponsorships were developed by Corus Tempo, the company’s in-house marketing division. They will comprise elements such as in-show product integrations, consumer contests, competitions for show participants, prizes for the winners, presenting sponsorships for various segments and social media activities. The show will premiere on Global on March 3.

“As we head into the ninth season of Big Brother Canada, we are absolutely thrilled with the client response and can’t wait to debut their custom integrations,” said Barb McKergow, senior vice-president of national advertising at Corus. “This series is the perfect promotional vehicle for top-quality brands to create some of TV’s most innovative and advanced multiplatform integrations, and season nine will be no exception.”
