McDonald’s Canada has begun a national advertising campaign for its McValue Meal. The company recently committed to offering the menu items at a price of five dollars for a period of one year. The campaign, developed by Cossette, consists of television, online video, out-of-home and digital audio advertising, as well as social media content and public relations. The creative features McDonald’s spokescharacters Birdie, Grimace and the Hamburglar. Media work is being handled by OMD. Public relations are being provided by Weber Shandwick.
“McDonald’s has always been a place people can count on for dependable value,” said Rebecca Smart, director of brand strategy and content at McDonald’s Canada. “McValue brings that promise to life by delivering great food, satisfying options and real value, all wrapped in the energy and optimism our brand is known for.”
