Globe Media Group launches AI system
By Rob Bale
Globe Media Group, the advertising division of The Globe and Mail, has introduced a new artificial intelligence system developed by Mobian. The system uses AI to classify content by “tone, sentiment, emotion and contextual themes” so that advertisers can place ads “in environments more closely aligned with their values and messaging.” It will be available across the Globe’s digital properties. According to the company, it is the first Canadian publisher to offer this type of service to advertisers.
“Trust and quality remain at the heart of what we deliver to advertisers,” said Penny Hicks, managing director of client partnerships at Globe Media Group. “By combining our premium journalism with advanced AI-driven contextual understanding, we’re creating smarter, more relevant environments that drive performance while safeguarding brand values, reinforcing why investing with The Globe means partnering with an industry leader.”
