OOH companies conduct Tragically Hip campaign

Several out-of-home media companies, in association with Twitter Canada, are conducting a campaign paying tribute to rock band The Tragically Hip. Participating companies, including Astral Out-of- Home, Clear Channel Canada, Lamar Transit Advertising, Outfront Media, Pattison Outdoor Advertising, Big Digital, Dive Networks and Dynamic Outdoor are displaying selected Twitter messages about the band on digital billboards nationally. The creative for the campaign was developed by Pattison Onestop.

"This is a great example of how OOH and social media can effectively create engagement and drive conversation," said Rosanne Caron, president of the Out-of-Home Marketing Association of Canada. "OOH and Twitter are very compatible when you consider that both media require you to be succinct in messaging."
