Postmedia readied digital lab at Communitech

Postmedia Network of Toronto has formed an agreement with Communitech of Waterloo, ON, an organization specializing in the support of technology companies in the start-up phase. Through this agreement, Postmedia will open a digital development lab at Communitech aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. Postmedia will also use the facility to develop its own collection of digital properties. The lab is expected to launch in the fall.
"With our strategic focus set on cultivating innovative new business approaches and continuous transformation, opening this new space within the Communitech Hub will help jump start a new team with new ideas to set new, higher benchmarks for success," said Andrew MacLeod, chief commercial officer at Postmedia.
