Shaw conducts WiFi Go campaign in Vancouver

Shaw Communications is conducting a campaign in Vancouver promoting its WiFi Go service. The campaign, developed by Lamar Transit Advertising, includes the provision of free wireless Internet service at two SeaBus terminals in the city. Commuters who make use of the service will see a splash screen offering information about the brand. The campaign also makes use of posters, turnstile wraps and floor graphics in the terminals, as well as seat decals and posters on the ferries. According to the company, Wi-Fi access will be extended to include the ferries over the next few months.

"The Wi-Fi enhanced SeaBus terminal dominations are a groundbreaking transit advertising initiative in British Columbia," said Byron Montgomery, general manager of Lamar Advertising. "The Shaw WiFi Go campaign is an excellent example of how out-of-home advertising complements mobile and wireless technology to deliver meaningful advertisements that provide utility to consumers. We value our partnership with Shaw Communications and TransLink, and we are excited to combine the power of OOH and technology to help the brand connect with consumers."
