Mississauga hires Lamar Advertising for transit ads

The City of Mississauga has signed a five-year contract with Lamar Advertising of Baton Rouge, LA to handle its transit advertising sales representation. The contract includes interior and exterior advertising on the city's 448 buses, which serve 738,000 residents. "It's great to be back in business in Mississauga," said Steve Copeland, general manager of Lamar Transit Advertising in eastern Canada. "This is a wonderful market for Lamar's business model. The growth in the city over the years has been staggering, and we hope to reach as many local businesses as possible with our bus wraps. This is a tremendous market for national advertisers as well."
